Snake Davis

Top British soul jazz and funk saxophonist Snake Davis is a session musician who has played with some of the world’s leading artistes.

Snake the “sax man” is widely known for his solos on tracks such as Lisa Stansfields “Change”, M-Peoples “Search For A Hero” and “Moving On Up” and Take Thats “A Million Love Songs”. He has played and recorded with artists ranging from James Brown to Paul McCartney, The Eurhythmics to Amy Winehouse – having recorded on more than 400 tracks in recent years for over 60 artists and played live with dozens more.
Snake is in demand across the world; playing the saxophone family as well as flutes, whistles and the ancient Japanese wind instrument, the Shakuhachi. A highly talented player, he is also a musical director (Heather Small and M-People), a writer, an arranger, band leader, and sought after for his work in education.

Snake and his band will be playing music from the latest album as well as some old favourites. As always, his love of soul music comes through in his playing as well as jazz, R+B, funk and world music. Snake Davis is the only saxophonist we know who can literally make his instruments sing. A thoroughly entertaining evening for anyone who appreciates the finer art of real music.

Fever Trio

Fever Trio is the fun-sized version of the popular five-piece Halifax band, The Fever Trees, featuring the powerful vocals of Ruth Gardziel, ably backed by brothers Pete and Les Gillon on guitar and bass respectively. Playing a mixture of original songs and covers, they give an airing to their gentler acoustic songs, their 'Doctor Jekyll' side of The Fever Trees 'Mr Hyde'
